There is an engrossing documentary on Netflix (apologies...) called The Keepers. It's about the murder of a nun in Baltimore in 1969, against a backdrop of massive collusion, corruption, and coverup between the church and the city government. The mayor at the time was none other than Nancy's brother, Thomas D'alesandro III, who served from 1967-1971...keep that in mind if you watch it. (Nancy's dear old dad Thomas D'alAlesandro Jr. had served as mayor there 1947-1959.) If you want an "interesting" (i.e. disgusting) background view of how the D'Alesandros run a government, this is one way to get it.
Yes. This is also included in the declassified drop.
He essentially paid off the judge and gave construction contracts to mafia buddies who didn’t do their jobs. All of this was dug up because he wanted a cabinet position back in the day.
Thought I've heard the name before. Weren't the D'Alessandros involved with the mob back in the day like the Cuomos ?
