Well, there does seem to be something special about the nose and Covid. Loss of sense of smell is one of the hallmark symptoms. Yet I haven't seen any research on this. And from a marketing/patient care standpoint, nasal sprays are a lot easier than shots or pills.
Of course we lose our sense of smell and taste when we can't breath out of our fucking nose from so much mucus. Why people conveniently forget that about the flu is beyond me.

I actually think it is the inflammatory pathway of the nicotinic receptors that impair those just like smoking and nicotine does.
