Well, there does seem to be something special about the nose and Covid. Loss of sense of smell is one of the hallmark symptoms. Yet I haven't seen any research on this. And from a marketing/patient care standpoint, nasal sprays are a lot easier than shots or pills.
I've had sinus issues since I was a kid and most colds hit my nose pretty hard. But this kung flu was the first time I completely lost my sense of smell. It was weird. I had completely clear nasal passages but I couldn't smell anything at all and it happened after I mostly recovered. That was back in November and it's partially back now but not 100%. Thanks China.

Doesn't every cold and flu impair your taste and smell?
Or maybe it's just me....

Were your nasal paths extremely sore? Anything else? Would love as much detail as possible.
I had some issues I hadn't had previously with my nose a few months ago, but I didn't think much of it at the time so I'm curious.
