I like this. She could still be off in some regard, but she has a long line of congruent, intersecting, supportive, and consequent events tied together. IMO this is the right direction rather than focusing on a few incidents or persons. Real plots have a wide reach, no matter how clandestine. There are always supporting characters and events, even though the supporters may be innocent and the events unplanned.
