I seem to recall a reluctance by Maricopa County BOS+Dominion to release certain subpoena'd stuff because they said the auditors weren't Pro V&V or SLI (the only auditors certified by EAC).
So, now I'm wondering about these others.
Help me understand please (& Thank You).
From what I understand, the person who certifies auditors used to work for Dominion. While they are screaming about using certified companies, she wasn't very good and their certifications had lapsed anyways. She probably got them updated by now. However, because she used to work for Dominion, there were concerns of a conflict of interest by using EAC certified companies. AZ opted to use multiple companies to do the audit and make it as transparent as possible. NH used an EAC certified company. The residents fought against it and they were told tough luck, we don't answer to you. I don't know about GA. The EAC is an independent government Commission created in 2002. They are the ones that all 50 states go to for help with voting equipment, mail in ballots, and all things voting. I think Az was smart not to use EAC certified because of the connection to Dominion but it does give the other side a reason to say the audit isn't valid. I wish I could remember what video I saw that explained the problems with the EAC. There was a lot more to it but this is all I can remember.
I have been studying the EAC (this my questions). I understand it originated as part of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA). It focuses on serving the Elections Officials to me, it seems, not the voters. I may be wrong in my suspicions, so I'm still seeking what is true about them.
I think your suspicions are true.
