Looking at the drawings, I don't think this is a masonic handshake. It would appear that the thumb should be more on the fingers of the other person, rather than on the back of the hand. A thumb on the pointer finger is second degree and a thumb on the middle finger is third degree.
My guess is that the handshake looks weird because of the height difference between the two men. The bracelet of the whistleblower may also be getting in the way, too.
That being said, the tattoo on the whistleblower does appear to be satanic. He's also wearing a ring, but I can't see what might be on it.
