Half the world is programmed in blindly obeying the global institutions. Some big event needs to happen to wake up the people so they start thinking for themselves and stop trusting the cabal of evil that seemingly has control of most major institutions. Once the Great Awakening happens it will should be easy to purge the chaf as everyone will be single-minded to burn it away.
