My work has implemented a policy where only vaccinated employees can remove their masks. If you choose not to declare your vaccination status, or declare that you're unvaxed then you have to continue wearing the mask (and possibly stand out among the crowd), or face disciplinary action - possibly including termination.
My question is: do I wait it out, or risk speaking up and possibly losing my job? I don't want to lie about my status or circumvent the policy and feel like I'm watching over my shoulder at all times. I don't want to take part in the lies anymore and I shouldn't have to feel ostracized for that. I know AFLD has resources, but I think I should talk to someone within the company first.
I don't have tons of people I can talk to about this IRL, so I'm really hoping I can get some helpful words here.
I would rock the mask. Stay strong in your beliefs. Don't let people think the vax is ok, fight it anyway you can. Speak up, you cannot get fired for advocating for your health or if you do you have a nice lawsuit on your hands. I would also send them any information you can find on how masks don't work. Oh and if vaccines work so well why do we still need the masks??? Sorry you have to deal with this, been fighting our schools and employers and I am so angry but will not give into these lunatics.
