We grew up with chores and expectations, callused hands before 3rd grade. Manners were a must, and dinner was at 1730 every night....and you had better be there, or you went without. Church on Sunday, pot roast for Sunday dinner. Life was simple, hard, rewarding, and good. Basic rules...work hard, be respectful, don't be late for dinner, be home when the street lights came on, and thank your God and Country. We are American Men...God, Family, and Honor mean something to us.
We were known back then as the "heart of America", the farmers and ranchers, the "good ol country folks".....Middle America. Lemon aide stands, county fairs, and Fourth of July....that is what we lived for as children of the Fly Over States. As we got older and left home, many of us swore to give back to our country through military service and protect our freedoms that built our childhood memories. Some of us died, some of us lived...non of us regretted any second of it. We are American Men, regret is not a word we use much.
Families of our own, careers and businesses, kid raising, and life. Some got a little softer around the edges / waistline, but the spine is still forged in American blood and iron, rooted in the Constitution. However, we have listened to years of culture manipulation....fly over, rural America, preppers, tea party, deplorables, bible and gun clingers, right wing extremists, racist, Christian radicals, and now terrorist. WE are American Men, we killed terrorists on your behalf there Soy boy so you could stay safe in your college dorm and hug your trees....now you are starting to piss us off. We are gentle giants until you break the rules....work hard, be respectful, and thank your God and Country....and BTW....don't be late for dinner!
You have destroyed our streets with your riots, our elections with your fraud, and our education system with your 7000 made up identities, feelings, and revisionist history lessons. You have made all that was good in this country bad. This is the American Man's fault....we let you do it, we were asleep at the wheel. Take notice, we are awake now, and your days are numbered. You are a cancer on the soul of this great nation and you will be eradicated....mark my words, the American man is taking back control! WWG1WGA
Older millennials are the last of the American men, and half of us were corrupted. It’s when it started. They started attacking masculinity because they knew we wouldn’t allow them to control us very much. So now they get them in high school and start filling their heads with feminine ideas. They become weak and emasculated.
I grew up on rocky top. Life is hard in these mountains but it’s simple and you’ll find nowhere as beautiful. When I was little and bumped my head or got a burn my mom wouldn’t run to the pharmacy. She’d rub various plants on it, and they worked. I grew up in Scouts. Won awards for marksmanship because I learned firearms and archery from a young age. Raised corn and helped in tobacco fields. Then we started raising horses. 92 acres with 7 mares, 2 studs, 3 geldings, 4 dogs, and a duck named Quackers that thought he was a dog. He chased cars and quacked at them.
We also lived in the city for a time. Not a city but the small town type of city. Had the same treatment. Drank from water hoses, had to be home when the streetlights came on and couldn’t miss dinner.
When I became old enough I got a case of Wanderlust. I moved to the coast and lived in Charleston SC for three years on my own. I wanted to see the beach. After those years I missed the mountains and ended up coming back.
It’s people like us who forged America in the fires of war. Not like us, stronger men than us, but they are gone and we bear their burden now. The soy boys and gender studies girls mock us for our love of centerfire cartridges and recoil, but they don’t know why we keep them
Amen brother!
Just letting you know you aren’t alone, fren. We still exist. We are what’s keeping Aunty Fa away from rural America ?
Well, Aunty Fa is welcome any time on this old farm....I'm not as good as I once was, but as good once as I have always been! ;)
Toby Keith said it best lol
We wait on it ? We feel left out
