We had time to plan, so we installed ramps and rails, modified a first level room as my temporary bed room, and things are going pretty well. I am off of the hard core pain relief and the wound is healing well. My wife, kids, and my dad have been awesome at allowing me to struggle when I need to and help when I need it. My church family has kept us sane and grounded. I'll be back walking by Christmas or shortly there after...in time to start next year's farm work and get back in my plane.

12 years ago we moved onto 37ac in the middle of nowhere. Now we raise our own hogs, eggs, hay, grains, and vegetables. We trade some of our pigs for the neighbors beef. Deep well, generator, back up fuels and solar, and a stocked pond. Bring on the collapse...I'm ready.
