Possibly, but sedition would be a more likely criminal charge. Also, one of the major qualifying prerequisites for earning a treason or sedition charge is that the perpetrator must knowingly commit the act. Helping someone to commit treason is not grounds for a treason charge unless person knows they are helping someone commit treason.
