I had my first experience this week with an elderly person who had been vaccinated who was out in public for the first time. I went to hug them and they recoiled from me, saying "Vaccinated? Have you been vaccinated?"
My response was "Even better! I HAD COVID and recovered back when this stuff first started!" She looked doubtful and said, "How do you know you're still immune?" My response? "Well, I'm still immune from mumps, measles and chicken pox and that was over 50 years ago - why would this one be any different?" She didn't say anything, but she did sit next to me at the potluck.
What this pandemic crime has done to the elderly is truly a crime against humanity.
You forget that age doesn't "age" well sometimes. My mother who is not a sheep by any means still worried about Covid and she's not a tv watcher either. Just other people talking and w/ advanced years it doesn't click like it used to-if you get my gist.
