Smooth brain ape here.
I get that by voting we are signalling how many shares are out there.
BUT what on earth are we voting for & how should we be voting?
eToro ppl have the chance to vote till June 6th. Can someone who knows more please tell me what to vote for?
By voting you are letting the GME PTB know how many shares are voting. Each share you own gets a vote. If the vote tally is greater than the number of shares, then GME can let the SEC know conclusively that there has been naked short selling, which is completely illegal. This has a very good chance of starting a chain reaction that will lead to the MOASS.
TL;DR: Just like the Indians in Arizona in the last election, voting will make you rich.
The gme board recommends voting yes for all questions.

You are voting to have a say in how the company is run. You're part owner now, start acting like it. (j/k, be as unwashed as you like!)
IIRC, six questions. One is in regards to executive compensation. Personally I think Ryan Cohen (don't care about his politics) is a positive agent for change and sides with the investors and customers; and deserves the pay package.
The other 5 are for board members he's putting in. I checked, no overt ties to the CCP. So I voted to let him build his team.
It's what an annual proxy vote usually looks like, no funny business or activist investor questions. The side effect is to audit how many synthetic shares are out there (fraudulent votes, see a recurring theme?)
Thank you, I only own a few shares, but wanted to do the right thing with my vote.
Totally agree re Cohen.
Thanks again for clearing that up.
If you like what the board is doing and trust them, vote in favor of what they want.
ThankQ
Where do we cast our votes?
Ask your broker, my understanding is who you are with will determine if you can vote. I am with eToro & retail holders pushed hard to get a vote.
