Visited the Michigan Conservative Coalition office in Walled Lake to add my affidavit to the pile generated by the Guard the Vote action. Beautiful day for a hour plus road trip. Arrived around 3:30 to street signs reading "Audit the vote!" and energized patriots waving cars into the lot.
Manned tables outside the entrance dispensed information and lots of smiles. Upstairs people watched us come in and uttered in disbelieve, "More?" Apparently things had been hopping there all day. Pretty good for so very little promotion, and on such short notice.
We were introduced to Bob the notary. I told Bob that I didn't recognize him without his mask. After a good chuckle we got down to business. I had brought an unfilled affidavit, but printed with duplex, which the volunteers didn't like to handle, so they gave me a new one. After filling it in, Bob dutifully notarized it.
I asked about the cost of delivering 54 copies for each person who showed up. They are going to avoid the cost, and the US postal system entirely by going to Lansing to serve them in person. I put 60 bucks in the contribution bowl and was on my way. Easy as could be, and a very pleasant way to do my duty.
MCC will be hosting another event next week. Any Michiganders who want to do their part should get over there:
Wednesday, June 9th 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Michigan Conservative Coalition Trump Office
500 North Pontiac Trail
Walled Lake, MI
Awesome. But be prepared for Grotesque Gretchy and her ilk to pull similar BS like Gruesome Newsom did in Cali regarding his recall. They’ll claim that a number of the signatures are invalid to try and throw a wrench in the works or at least slow it down. Don’t waver in spirit; keep the faith. From what I can tell, anecdotally, the recall train in MI will be just as unstoppable as Cali’s has been.
Best of luck. Patriots across the country will be celebrating with you MI folks when you oust that beast Gretchen and her ilk.
Edit: OP is describing the AUDIT efforts, not a recall. My mistake. Wrenches will be thrown into the effort in either case.
The affidavit is notarized. A notary verifies your id and witnesses your signature. You can not dispute a notarized signature!
They’ll try. From what I understand they’re not really big proponents of upholding the law. In any case they won’t get away with it. (BTW, my mistake on recall vs audit. Both are great goals, perhaps the audit even more so).
I sense someone who isn't tired of winning yet :-)
