My guesses:

Trying to bait the media to talk about his fast tracking the vax and the conundrum of him supporting the vax relative to his supporters
He's on their team

Unlikely options:

He doesn't know better
He's arranged for the vaccines to be safer than intended
The vaccines are mostly 'safe' and the media push is just a classic money grab to sell more product
