Where does it say his website is the only source of information? and they said it wouldn't be used anymore anyhow.

Show me where trump said I will only disseminate information on my official site. I can't claim to know how he decides what to put on his website. Looks like it was probably a press release, put out by at least three different outlets I found in 2 minutes.
