Calling every semi-secret fraternity freemasonry is very ignorant and akin to calling every sect of Christianity a Catholic Jesuit cult. Some of our most esteemed Founding Fathers were dedicated masons. Funny enough, nobody on the internet can sauce legitimate masonic literature about their nefarious dealings, yet all claim that they know the secrets of the 33rd degree (Scottish Rite only). It's laughable. The way some people who call themselves Christians, or Americans, or Congressional Representatives, or Capitalists act in direct contradiction to their self-professed claims and ideals, is the same way people who are masons may or may not act as well. America never would have gained independence if not for the work of masons like Washington, Franklin, and Lafayette, to name a very few.
They are not masons.
