Over a year ago Whitney Webb of LastVagabond released a huge article on the virus and Wuhan and a lot of sketchy DoD connections were theorized back early 2020. She is good researcher who had supporting evidence. Seems like it might have been defensive in nature for troops but it was small step to making virus offensive bio weapon. She named names in the piece.
Interesting. It's especially odd that the DoD would be funding that type of research while having it done over in China, of all places, rather than in U.S. labs where it could be better controlled and kept secret. Of course, gain-of-function research was halted here, though.

But Webb’s article said we have these contract labs in many countries, many near or adjacent to China. Why? Idk. Their regs are less strict but look at the catastrophic risk for earth. The whole bioweapon research topic seems out of control at best.
