the notion of gain of function, that someone would intentionally develop a mutant virus just so they know how to handle it in the future is absolutely absurd.

Anyone who would believe that load of crap is not thinking critically. They clearly use that language to obfuscate (like they do with all language) their obvious motives for developing militarized bioweapons.
