I apologize if I came across as completely judgmental and cold to anyone's struggle but we all struggle with sin in it's various forms. I have struggled with substance abuse and anger issues. We all have our vices and behaviors that are not acceptable to the Lord however through Jesus Christ we are all saved and washed clean it's just about accepting the life and living in sin or being remorseful and repentant and trying to do better. Love the sinner, hate the sin is the motto it's just a fine line to walk. I just get really amped up when people try to paint homosexuality and transgenderism as a lifestyle and identity rather than a destructive behavior.
You're totally fine, thanks for responding. I've been thinking and praying hard about this. Lusting after someone is a sin for all people, gay or straight. And it says in 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 that love does not envy, and is not self-seeking. So perhaps wanting to be with someone is self-seeking, and not pure love; which would mean loving someone without wanting anything in return, including sex or even to be loved in return. But it seems that these rules would apply to straight relationships too. So do we need to go back to having arranged marriages and no divorce to be right in the eyes of God?
No part of me has any interest in women romantically or sexually. So do I need to be alone for the rest of my life? Is it fine to have a "boyfriend" as long as we don't sleep together? Is it wrong to lust after your own wife? Is sex for any reason other than the sole purpose of making babies automatically wrong?
I think the entire world is corrupt and we're not being judged by any where near the scrutiny as in the days of old society has failed all of us. Grace through faith alone is our only hope. So my advice would be no we don't need to worry about arranged marriages and yes we are going to live a sinful life all in our own individual way but I think there needs to be a state of mind that accepts responsibility and asks for strength and repentance to lessen your urges everyday but I think giving into your urges is not a damning situation by any means but we all want to live more righteously everyday.
u/keepwatukill I really wanna know what you think about my other reply. From one christian to another, I need to get to the bottom of this.
