The beer and cinnamon do something really special to it. I’ve been adding those every time since I first added them in an experiment maybe 8 years ago. Killian's is best to me.
2lbs of beef and an onion, cook it, drain it, add 3-4 cans of kidney beans (I like to add both dark and light) fill the pot with water a little above the solid stuff, add the spice packet, beer and cinnamon (couple of shakes, you’ll figure out how much you like) simmer for a couple hours and add some masa flour from the box to thicken it up. Serve with shredded cheese and some crackers. Its even better the next day.
