This is exactly how I started as well except my catalyst was Steven Colbert. My family have been dedicated ABC network channel watchers since I was a kid. I don't watch television at all but it's always playing in the background. At 11pm every night I'd hear an anti Trump joke and a bunch of allegations. You could literally set your watch to Colbert.

The routine kept up for at least 3 or 4 weeks before I started paying attention. I was asking myself "what is this guy's hard on for the president." So I started looking up the claims and sure enough they were blatant lies. Then I started paying attention to other late shows, and then the news. They all parroted the exact same message. That is when I became a Trump supporter.
