" lib·er·al /ˈlib(ə)rəl/ Learn to pronounce Origin
Middle English: via Old French from Latin liberalis, from liber ‘free (man)’. The original sense was ‘suitable for a free man’, hence ‘suitable for a gentleman’ (one not tied to a trade), surviving in liberal arts . Another early sense ‘generous’ (compare with liberal (sense 4 of the adjective)) gave rise to an obsolete meaning ‘free from restraint’, leading to liberal (sense 1 of the adjective) (late 18th century)."
Liberals began calling themselves libertarians not the other way around.
Liberal as far as politics is based on equality and liberty which are the basis of human rights. The founding fathers gained tonight into what individual right and whatnot meant to be at liberty by observing the American Natives whose lifestyles can also be described with modern terminology as being liberal rather than conservative.
If what your trying to say is that our country at it's origins was not as divided by terms at like conservative and liberal then I will agree, but the social views and behaviors of the founding fathers is decidedly of liberal minded people. There was absolutely nothing conservative about their views, the forming of the constitution which was founded on the ideas of social equality, or anything about the founding of this country.
The pilgrims and puritans who came here and settled New England were conservatives, the founding fathers were liberals
And no your argument has not been prover per your misusing QED. You were trying to get out of the discussion by arguing semantics LMAO!
