It's called taking the higher path/road less traveled. Their defeat will be all the more humiliating because they disregarded everything but their lust, committing atrocities and ignoring the law, and still failed. Have a dose of inspiriation.
I think you express doubt in POW policies then? I'm not sure what you want here. I said the pledge, and it seems it may have protective qualities, however, in life nothing is guaranteed.
