So today was a new one. Got into a conversation with a cousins friend about media deception and found out he's hugely into conspiracies. What I didn't expect is he's actually become a staunch centerist because hes effectively been black pilled into being skeptical of all things. He thinks trump was just another in a long line of conmen that only care about taking care of "their own". I tried to break down his logic but it didn't help. Absolutely the weirdest conversation I've ever had. He knows what I know but refuses to "believe" anything. He at least admits it's very unhealthy mentally and that's why he tends to keep that stuff to himself. Never tried to redpill somebody before that didn't need to be explained shit only for them to still not budge an inch and disagree with my takes.
My best friend grew up on a farm. She is a down to earth pragmatist and smart as a tack. She despises Bill Gates and knows he hung out with Epstein, and she thinks they are all a bunch of corrupt weasels. Including Trump. She thinks the vaccine is great, and is hot and cold on masks. She loves Fauci and thinks he is science. Yes I know this is inconsistent.
Of all my friends, this would be the one I would think I had the best shot at red-pilling. But alas, she watches fake news and late night talk shows. If you talk about Trump she gets angry like a Pavlovian response.
I think she is in a state where the media has programmed her into believing things that conflict with each other. Such as Bill Gates is corrupt and evil, but vaccines are wonderful. The way her anger flairs up if Trump or DeSantis is mentioned, it seems like a programmed response to me.
Probably 90% of us don't have any frens in RL that are red-pilled.

Like distrusting most scientists on the government dole, but believing everything NASA says.
