Reminds me of the 80s when lots of a Bayer medicine, possibly Advil, were found to be contaminated. I forget what with, possibly something carcinogenic. The products were pulled from US shelves and re-sold in South America. The FDA wasn't just aware it was happening, they helped cover up the information.
