I’m planning on taking a trip to Tampa and I know that once I’m in FL I’m safe from a lot of the covid B.S. however I checked my local airport’s website and it said that a federal order states “all persons must wear masks on airport property”.
I haven’t flown since 2019 and I’d like to hear from someone who’s been to an airport recently if there’s anything that’s changed, I will be pulling the ADA card for the masks but I refuse to get tested too
Quick reminder about the ADA card. I recently flew on AA to Miami and I had pulled my mask down under my nose, and the Flight Attendants told me to pull it over my nose. I informed them of my disability, and even showed her my ADA placard. She then told me since I did not notify them at check-in about my disability they were not "prepared" for this and I would have to pull it up or they would not take off. I told her I would pull it up as a courtesy to the other passengers (not to delay their flight), but if I suffered a seizure it would be the Airlines responsibility. I told her I wasn't required to tell her about my disability, but since I was being forced to wear a mask she needed to be aware that I'm Epileptic due to a Brain Tumor. The other passengers on the flight were very gracious towards me and many of them expressed their anger at the Attendants for their attitudes.
