I think JonnyQpublic, you should spend some proper time reading about the uses of PCR.
The quote you highlighted from the website is in fact an ALLEGED quote.
Nobody who knows PCR would say this kind of thing. The person who made up the quote does not really understand the PCR testing process.

Mullis is right there. A positive COVID-19 PCR result doesn't mean you're sick.
PCR is only to amplify DNA fragments. There are a million different things that you can do with the amplified sample.
