I refuse to use those cardboard monstrosities. Absolutely disgusting. JUST GIVE ME A PLASTIC STRAW. It goes into the nearby landfill, which isn't over any water table, takes up 0.01% of the land in my city because we bury all of it and have a sustainable waste management system. It won't even be a problem for future settlements over the landfill since most of it decays and by the time people forget about it, it'll probably be buried under layers and layers of dirt. For all I know, there could be oil, gold, silver, or a mass grave of dead indians or vikings or pilgrims or whatever just 10 feet underneath my house, but I'll never know, and neither will anyone else who builds over a landfill hundreds of years from now!
Just another austerity measure by the elites. They lure people with the promise of a $15 minimum wage, while doubling our money supply in a single year, and then tell us we will own nothing and be happy!
