So don't allow auto updates on my phone. (Though...they will fu6k with my device so I essentially have to restart) I happen to notice my security said a recently installed app was clean for viruses. What app, you ask? Something like "[my state] Public Health" with a logo of a heart formed from a pixilated red and blue hands shaking. I should have taken a screenshot but I was primarily distracted by deleting it the fu6k off my phone.
So...just saying...check your apps. Oh it was a google device and i checked the play store for my uninstalled apps so i could take a pic. Mysteriously, that was not listed.
Periodically check your apps esp if yr in a blue state.
Or use a burner flip fone for real important stuff.
You can always go to notification history.
It's different on every device. If it's newer >11, you can go to notification shade then tap history.
I always keep Play Store disabled unless I need to update an app I care about, then I kill it again. I'm not sure if that solves this specific issue but it solves my own issues of other apps updating themselves or the constant reminders that updates are available.
I still have a non-carrier bloatware ZTE phone laying around, which maxes out at Android 7.1.1, it's slow as hell but it has great battery and it's not as intrusive as my Note 9. Every day I think about switching my service back to the ZTE, then resort to the Note 9 as strictly an entertainment device with dummy accounts.
Nokia 3310 is the only phone you will ever need and it comes with snake game!
What are adb commands? I can never get all this crap off my phone.
