Amen!!! And this works BOTH ways.... meaning my husband who grew up poor (lived in a trailer for part of his childhood) and lived with grandparents in order to go to the “good” public school—was given nothing as a white male in order to become who he is today—an MD saving lives and helping people everyday. He had zero privilege, first in his family to graduate from college, but he worked his ass off to get where he is!!!
