Weinstein podcast had some Dr super MRNA lad on saying the spikes fall freely from cell walls, whether that's a few hundred thousand or a few hundred billion though is anyone's guess, if you mean shedding as in like leaving the body itself then fair enough.

Shedding internally - all but confirmed. Shedding externally - unknown.
