Federal employee here. We got less than 18 hours notice that Juneteenth was now an official federal holiday and we would have the day off. Prediction: a different holiday will be sacrificed in the future.

They've been working on cancelling Columbus day for the last decade or so, if they have not already done so, Columbus will be next to fall.
