40 Betsy Ross's flag is 13 alternating red-and-white stripes with stars in a field of blue in the upper left corner canton. Its distinguishing feature is thirteen 5-pointed stars arranged in a circle representing the 13 colonies that fought for their independence. I am sure someone is offended. George Washington wanted the stars to be 6 pointed (masonic), but Betsy Ross convinced him it was easier to cut 5 pointed stars.
Knowing what I know now, I'm not sure I would feel the same pride when looking at the flag if it had any masonic symbolism.
Upside down 5 point star is no better!

Yeah, Colin Kaepernick.
I seem to remember there was squalling about it a few years ago.
