True Freedom in this country means living up to our constitution and understanding that God gives us the Freedom and the choice to rise above, and to be all we can be as valued children of God. That is what we celebrate on July 4-We took ourselves from the yoke of a human King and placed God as King (where He belongs)
Less than half the states (15?) were slave and (20?) were free-before the civil war. The blame/shame of slave states can be distributed through the European, Black, and native Americans. The history should be taught correctly in all its bad and good.
What people do in private is between them and God. But I see no reason to have a parade for the way people have sex.
