I studied the map you posted and it bears little similarity to the OP's map. Perhaps a different map or a different time? None of the standards or coats of arms between the two maps line up.
I took a screenshot from the original map. You just have to zoom in and rotate the map a bit. The Pepsi logo is at the top right of the map when you first look at it on the LOC page. Or you could just download it as a TIFF file so you can really zoom in and see all the details. Hit the "rotate right" button 4 times and you'll see exactly what I posted.
I have around 100 maps from the LOC website going all the way back to 1154, and most of them show Atlantis, Hy-Brasil, Maida (another mythical island), and many other things that make you question ancient history.
Who knows? I suppose it could be a coincidence that they used what would become the Pepsi logo as a marker for an island that supposedly never existed. I have more questions than answers when it comes to these old maps. Symbolism will be their downfall...I guess?
