I've actually thought on this a lot lately. If we are indeed heading to a new renaissance in America, we may need to let go of all our assumptions and traditions of the past. A new election day could be part of the plan, with a new 4-year cycle imposed. Or perhaps "the first Tuesday in November" will be kept, but just one year off, so that 2021-2025 could be the beginning of a cycle of presidential terms
We might even see Election Day limited to ONE DAY ONLY, and with absentee ballots allowed only in rare cases.
With everything so corrupted right now, I wouldn't be surprised to see everything changed. A break with the corrupt past would justify changing everything.
I don't know anything about the legal reality of this, but I have seen people suggest that an impeachment nullifies an election and hence opens up the possibility of an extra term.
Actually, if we revert back to our original constitution there won't be any term limits. That was corporation shit

Trump has been impeached twice.
TRUMP is OWED his first four andthen he can take four more <==my opinion but feels fair
Almost anything not defined in the Constitution can be changed with an amendment, and amendments can be repealed by the states.
