First it is a Florida Senate Bill. Second it’s purpose is/was to stop local authorities, especially in blue areas, establishing and enforcing draconian lockdown measures. Remember even as DeSantis was opening up, these blue areas were acting like New York or Michigan.
The controversial part of this bill vests the State Health Officer with sole power to quarantine or forcibly vaccinate a person who is a public health risk. Before this bill there were County and local health officers acting like they had this authority. Anyone construing this as a way to force the Covid vaccines on Floridians is ignoring the fact the opposite is codified in this bill.
Shills are making post after post about this bill, trying to discredit DeSantis. Pointing out facts and logic that contradicts what they are saying does no good. Just treat them as trolls, and ignore them.
Thanks. Sometimes I can’t resist an argument.
