Unless he's checking in with a third party, that would be a terrible Idea as those phones are traced and tapped, especially in his case.

Even if he called a third party, still terrible for the same reasons.

So to me were left with a few options.

1)larp

2)he changed the switch design

3)he already released to white hats (or I guess to be more general anyone but we hope white hats)

4. he's still alive therefore not activating the switch.
