Well, he is important. He can shape policy which affects us all, that is important.

The fact that he probably hunts children with dogs is neither here or there, he is important.

I think his version and my version of importance differ considerably. I feel 'replaceable' is a better word for him.

I remember Jeremy Paxman on Newsnight telling Eric Pickles they they were "here today and gone tomorrow" people, our Eric was not best pleased at that.
