The crypto-cat is out of the bag. You can't put it back in at this point. Too many moving parts. If the SEC came down hard on all cryptos, I think we'd see a mass revolt / underground uprising. The SEC has no control over cryptos and never will. The government goons would have to get involved and go door to door confiscating physical hardware for them to make even a dent on these networks, and even then you can't get into the wallets storing the crypto.

This would be economic and political suicide for anyone attempting such a thing.
