Did the DS try to destroy the hard drives that John McAfee said he had that were claimed to contain 31 terabytes of incriminating evidence on several DS players in the CIA? I just hope the white hats secured the hard drives and they weren't destroyed in the collapse of the high rise building where McAfee's condo was. I hope that jhis "deadman's switch" has been flipped and that someone is holding on to those hard drives in a secured undisclosed location.

McAfee was the type of guy who knows cyber security. Which includes the understanding of backups and physical security. Most likely he has a team of lawyers with copies or some sort of key to access them. Most likely he has several servers in different locations around the world. I also assume that if for some reason all those threats to the DS are neutralized. He would have cold storage in some mountain with instructions to plug in some hard drive and execute some program on an arbitrary date. So knowing this the guy probably had contingencies upon contingencies. He understood not to have single points of failure especially if it is something designed to keep you alive.
