I think it was controlled demolition. It is revealed that the building needed a multi-million dollar repair job.
It is possible that the owner wanted to pull a Silverstein and just demolish it and get paid by the insurance company.

Has anybody looked into who owns it and if they will get insurance money like Silverstein did?
The death count is 4 right now. Seems kinda low, doesn't it, for a 12-story huge building? That would be a good thing if only 4 died, but it seems unusual to me. Perhaps the death count will climb as they clean up the site.
Buildings dont just fall down
Buildings falling will look roughly the same. I think the old building was poorly constructed, its foundation was damaged for years, and god knows what is under the foundations. See ZH today:

So long after the event, I doubt any explosives theory still holds.
I dont think it was controlled demo. They would have had to set charges well in advance and damage occupied areas. I am thinking it was the same as OKC and 911 as well as the California fires.
Have you seen any that include the moments preceding the fall? Everything i've seen is pretty much the moment it starts falling.
