If I'm being honest book deals have been a thing for ages. Its been well known that fox and others would buy their pundits and employees books 10s of thousands at a time to get them on NYT list and promote as well as get them extra funds.

Book deals are obvious as hell. No way so many people make best seller without YEARS of writing and gathering a following. Its never been organic and sometimes popular books don't even make NYT list
