Saw a website recently that tried to debunk Dr. Frank's work. In the comments, someone claimed he stole everything from Piton. I just watched the testimony Piton gave in AZ in November. While the two of them seem to have similar approaches, they do seem to have unique aspects.
Has anyone seen discussion/debate between them?
I know from one of Frank's podcast appearances that he got pulled into this because of an election in Ohio that a candidate felt they got screwed. That is supposedly how he got involved though he had been using election data as a real world example of the math he was teaching to others long before. It was a natural fit for him and he was excited to research it.
I have not been persuaded by Piton - not that he isn't truthful, just that he jumps all over the place and does not explain things very well. He is clearly more of a researcher than an educator. Frank is much better explaining what he is doing.
