that's because you aren't the intended audience. he is there to move a different segment of the population from where they are to a position a little more to the right. then, they will move to a different person/venue for a slightly bigger dose of truth. it is an incremental awakening--not the big shock that you desire for your "told you so". this is the version of the great awakening that results in the fewest casualties. fewest, not none. there is no version with none.
