I believe what Ms. McNicoll said about not thinking she was doing anything wrong. I am sure she followed a line of people in to the building. She did not damage anything nor did she hurt anybody. They cannot even state she was in a restricted area other than she went to the crypt (is that restricted normally?) when she thought she was in the rotunda.
We must be precise with our statements though and honest about evidence. They are holding the door to let them leave. That is hardly the same thing as inviting them in. In fact it is quite the opposite. If we are not precise then we will not be taken seriously by the masses we want to help.
If this where any other day then an officer would have said with a smile on their face, Ma'am this area is off limits today and I need you to leave the vicinity immediately ( really that might have been what was said then ) and she would have apologized and left (that might have been what she said then).
The conduct of the authorities is shameful and they have no ground to stand on in regards to this treatment.
I state all of that to also state this, they are using this an instances like this to antagonize and trap people in to looking foolish. Do not fall for the trap. Be honest and precise in all you do.

The cops would have arrested her if she was doing anything unlawful but of course she wasn't.
