For the past couple of weeks in my town, many of the stores here haven't had the chance to restock items, leaving many empty shelves. There are three regular stores I frequent where I have talked to the employees, and they confirmed that regular shipments aren't coming in, or they only have half the items that are usually delivered. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? I remeber that there was talk of a planned food shortage in the U.S on GAW about two months or so ago, so it definitely piqued my curiosity after personally encountering some weird situations.

YES!
My dad called two weeks ago and told me the shelves were missing a lot of food and I told him all the produce we've been getting has been shitty. Like we have to eat the produce the same day we buy it or else it goes bad. We've been talking about supply chain hiccups for weeks now. Also the price of meat has gone up at least $1-2 per pound.
I've noticed the food going bad fast as well! I thought maybe it was just a local issue, so it's good to know that it is more than just a bad delivery on my side of town.
I'm in WA. Just had to complain about another shipment today. They even sent less meat than I ordered.
