Silver Newbie Here.... what's the deal?

Sorry to be that guy but I really trust this board with my life these days...
Can someone give me the skinny on the silver situation? Never stacked any precious metals but I just bought 6oz worth from a recommended mint. Just wondering what the hype is about and if its worth it or not.... may look into getting some more of it. Thanks in advance!
The idea is to get as much Silver off the market before each COMEX delivery date, forcing silver out of unallocated (pooled, unaudited) storage and into allocated storage, physically possessed by a mint or in private hands.
This causes severe pressure on the "paper" silver market that's artificially keeping prices low.
In reality, continuous buying with physical delivery has the same effect, but it's kind of a "morale booster" for us Silverbacks. As a bonus, many of the mints will have special raid deals- usually 20-25% off the normal premium or free shipping.
