I learned human genetics and physiology when my half brother was born with a terminal neuromuscular disease and we had to go to great lengths through his life to mediate and mitigate effects, from onset of sexual adolescence, which is the point in time those with that disease start dying.
And they all die. As did he.
I learned to read at four and five years old with my parents running their fingers under the lines of doctors' texts they had bought themselves, or checked out from specialty libraries, about genetically occurring neuromuscular pathology.
He's a man. You'll wear that away from here.
